Science photo image collections
As experts in scientific and specialist imagery, we source from institutions, expert photographers and organisations throughout the world. We are unrivalled in the breadth of our library and in some cases are sole representatives. This is because of our expertise but also because of the mutually beneficial agreements we offer our contributors and the care each image receives.

The Royal Institution has been at the forefront of British scientific research for over 200 years and so provides a wealth of historically significant scientific images. Its archive contains the personal papers and notebooks of some of the major scientists who worked and lived there, including Faraday and Davy. The library also holds a collection of the most important and iconic books published in science.
