From the abdomen to wrinkles and bacteria to Viagra, a new health catalogue is now available from the Science Photo Library.

Produced by the health specialist French photo agency, BSIP, the health catalogue brings together just under 1,000 colour photographs and representations covering the human body, medical research, drugs, procedures and testing. Sections on alternative medicine, human behaviour, food and diet and the environment are also included.

Maria Storey, Science Photo Library marketing and communications director, says: "The new images increase the depth of the SPL collection and provide a fascinating and detailed range of health-related imagery."

The Science Photo Library is independent, privately owned and the only one of its kind in Britain. It is renowned for its high quality picture bank of over 100,000 images created by photographers, illustrators, scientists and medical specialists.
