A picture of gold ingots has been used by leather designer Bill Amberg on one of his latest handbag creations currently on show at London Fashion Week.

In tune with this season's colour, the bag is designed to give the feel of ultimate luxury, literally of carrying around a bag of gold. Another Science Photo Library image has also been used, this time incorporating a photograph of pearls on an evening bag.

Amberg, who designs and makes handbags, wallets and briefcases and has a retail shop in Notting Hill Gate, says: "They were nice crisp images. The idea was to create the ultimate luxury handbag."

The Science Photo Library is the world's leading photo agency specialising in science, medicine and technology, with over 120,000 images in its collection. Independent, privately owned and the only one of its kind in Britain, SPL is renowned for its high quality picture bank, created by photographers, illustrators, scientists and medical specialists.
