Lights, Camera, Reaction!

Original music by Ben Lloyd-Evans.

Caesium in water, nitrogen triiodide, exploding bubbles and molten iron… our latest shoot took in some of chemistry’s most thrilling reactions, and slowed them right down for your appreciation! This reel shows off some of the highlights, filmed with the help of the experts at the Royal Institution in London. To produce these stunning shots we used a 2000 frame-per-second full HD Photron BC2 camera, and took over for the day the celebrated lecture theatre made famous by Davy and Faraday. We like to think that they’d have approved.
