Caption: Fish fossil. Rock containing a fossil of a Mioplosus labracoides fish, a relative of the modern day perch. This specimen was found in the Green River Formation, Kemmerer, Wyoming, USA. This formation dates to around 50 million years ago, during the Eocene epoch. This specimen measures 212 millimetres in length.
