Caption: Water gum trees, (Tristaniopsis exiliflora), also known as Kanuka box trees. These trees grow along river margins in northeastern Australia. As in this image, the trunks characteristically lean far out over the water. The water of the creek is typically tea-coloured as a result of the tannin leached from the gum leaves that fall into the creek.
