Caption: Pig intelligence research. Researchers studying the intelligence of the pig. This research is being carried out by Suzanne Held, an ethologist at the University of Bristol, UK. She is using a maze to prove that pigs can remember a previously travelled route. There are two pigs in the maze. The first (marked with a red line) has already made the journey once to find food in the maze. The second (marked in blue), has not. The results show that the pig that had already made the journey was able to find the food quicker.
