Caption: 19th century model of a cow's jaw. Coloured plaster moulding of a cow's upper jaw (mandible), showing the soft and hard palates, teeth, bone, and muscle structure. The opening to the throat (pharynx, top) can also be seen. This anatomical model was made by Andre Richir in about 1950 as a veterinary teaching aid. Photographed in the museum of the National Veterinary School of Alfort, Maisons-Alfort, France.
