Caption: Production of liver cells. Illustration of how liver cells are obtained from the DNA of a female patient, injected through the wall of an enucleated oocyte (egg cell). After several days, the cell becomes a blastocyst containing stem cells which are then cultured. The cells multiply and differentiate into liver cells, which are then injected into the patient's liver.
