Caption: Elderflower orchid (Dactylorhiza sambucina) flowers, an orchid characteristic of alpine meadows in two main colour forms (yellow and magenta). The flowers were named by mistake after being mistaken for another yellow flowered species, Orchis pallens, that sometimes grows with them and has the scent of elder.
