Caption: French anatomist, physician, and anthropologist Paul Broca (1824-1880). Broca's early works dealt with the history of bone and cartilage, cancer pathology, infant mortality, and aneurysm treatment. Later he made important contributions to the understanding of the limbic system and rhinencephalon. Broca's research on localization of speech sparked entirely new research into the lateralization of brain function. Color enhancement of BD8030.
