Caption: False-colour cloud chamber photograph of matter and antimatter. Positrons (anti-electrons) enter the cloud chamber from below and curl clockwise in the chamber's magnetic field. One of the positrons (red) comes close enough to an atomic electron to knock it out of the atom so that it produces its own track curling anticlockwise (green). Although they interact, the positron and electron do not come close enough to each other to annihilate. The 90 degree angle between their two tracks shows the equality of the particles' masses. The blue tracks are due to other positrons & one other electron which do not interact.
