Caption: Hibiscus pollination, Coloured scanning electron micrograph (SEM) of pollen grains (male sex cells) on the stigma of an Hibiscus sp. flower. The stigma is part of the flower's female reproductive system. The pollen grains will produce pollen tubes, which burrow down to the flowers ovary where they will fertilise the ovums, forming seeds. Magnification: x35 when printed at 10 centimetres wide.
