Caption: Klein's butterflyfish (Chaetodon kleinii) feeding on a gorgonian (sea fan). These fish, also known as sunburst butterflyfish, inhabit tropical seas to a depth of around 60 metres. They feed mainly on coral polyps. A sea fan is a coral-like colony of polyps that form a tough structure (red) around themselves for protection and support. Photographed at Misool, Raja Empat, West Papua, Indonesia.
