Caption: Green Tree Snake (Dendrelaphis punctulatus) in yellow/green color form. Green Tree Snakes grow to around 1.5 meters and occur widely in the north and east of Australia in a variety of habitats ranging from mangroves to rainforest, woodlands and savannah. They are non-venomous and feed mainly on frogs, though lizards are also eaten. They have keen eyesight and are very swift-moving. Although mostly arboreal in their habits, they also spend a good deal of time on the ground while foraging. Mareeba, North Queensland, Australia.
