From left to right: Yuri Gagarin (1934-1968, Vostok 1, 12 April 1961, first human in space), Andriyan Nikolayev (1929-2004, Vostok 3, 11-15 August 1962), Pavel Popovich (1930-2009, Vostok 4, 12-15 August 1962) and Gherman Titov (1935-2000, Vostok 2, 6-7 August 1961). Gagarin flew one orbit around the Earth, while Titov orbited the Earth 17 times. Nikolayev and Popovich's missions were the first time two spacecraft were in orbit at the same time.
