Caption: Macaroni penguins (Eudyptes chrysolophus) displaying in a breeding colony. These penguins are found around the edges of Antarctica and on sub-Antarctic islands. They breed in large colonies between September and March on rocky outcrops, or areas with tussac grass. This penguin feeds mostly on krill with some squid, fish and crustaceans. They have a bright plume on their heads. Photographed on South Georgia.
