Caption: Western Wood Energy Biomass Plant. This is the first commercial power station of its kind in Wales, UK. It became fully operational in 2009 and will burn 160,000 tonnes of clean wood each year, producing enough energy to power 31,000 homes in the region. The wood is supplied by the South Wales Forestry Commission. Photographed in Margam, South Wales in November 2009.
