Caption: Electricity pylon in fog. The pylon and its cables are here surrounded by early morning inversion fog covering a landscape of farmland and woodlands. The fog is caused by a temperature inversion (increase in temperature with height) that has caused moist cool air to become trapped in a layer over this area. This is a common early morning phenomenon. Photographed in the Dee Valley near Banchory, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
