An example of Enhanced Human Power Augmentation (EHPA), it is designed to act as an exoskeleton to enable delicate and precise handling of heavy loads. The Body Extender has been developed at the Perceptual Robotics Laboratory (PERCRO) at the Scuola Superiore, Sant'Anna, Italy. Possible applications include handling military materials in confined spaces, rescuing victims in natural and man-made disasters, and handling construction materials.
