Caption: James Webb (left) and Wernher von Braun (right) of NASA. US public servant James Edwin Webb (1906-1992) was the second Administrator of NASA. He served from 1961 to 1968, under Presidents Kennedy and Johnson. German rocket engineer Wernher von Braun (1912-1977), who had developed the V-2 rocket during World War II. He played a central role in developing the rockets used in NASA's Apollo missions to the Moon in the 1960s and 1970s.
