Caption: Scolecite crystals. Scolecite, hydrated calcium silicate, is a tectosilicate mineral belonging to the zeolite group. It's crystals usually occur as needles in fibrous aggregations, and colourless white to pinkish red and green. Scolecite looks very similar to its closely related zeolite minerals, natrolite and mesolite. Specimen found in Sinnar quarry, Nasik district, India .
