Caption: Scorpion (Heterometrus swammerdami) on rocks. This scorpion is native to Thailand and is one of the largest scorpion species in the world. It can grow to over 20cm long and can weigh as much as 56 grams. It kills its prey by crushing with its pincers and as such the venom is weaker than in other species and not usually lethal to humans.
