Caption: Nuclear power station. View of part of the turbine hall at the Leningrad nuclear power station at Sosnovy Bor. The station uses four RBMK-1000 reactors, the type used at the Chernobyl site. Each reactor has a nominal 1000 MW capacity and were commissioned between 1970 and 1974. The reactors will be replaced with the VVER-1200 type in the future, with the first RBMK unit planned for shutdown in 2018.
