Caption: Self-propelled oil drilling rig. Engineer surveying an oil drilling rig under construction. This rig is capable of moving under its own power (self-propulsion) to where it is needed to drill oil. This usually refers to offshore rigs able to move at sea to where they need to drill. This rig, which is being built for the Russian oil company Lukoil, is located in the port of Kaliningrad, in Kaliningrad Oblast, a Russian enclave on the shores of the Baltic Sea. Photographed in 2010.
