Caption: Shajn Telescope at the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory, Ukraine. This 2.6-metre reflector telescope, built in 1961, is named after the Russian and Soviet astronomer Grigory Abramovich Shajn (1892-1956), director of this observatory from 1945 to 1952. Operated on an equatorial mount, this is the largest optical telescope in the Ukraine. Photographed in 1974.
