Caption: Insect leaf damage. An unidentified large-leafed understory plant in cloudforest, with its leaves eaten by insects. The caterpillar stage of an insect species was probably the cause of this attack, in which the soft leaf tissue between leaf veins has been devoured. Photographed at an altitude of 1,500 metres, western Ecuador.
