Caption: Bean leaf beetle. Macrophotograph of a bean leaf beetle (Cerotoma trifurcata) feeding on a leaf. This beetle is a pest of several crop plants, including beans, clover and soybean. Damage is caused by the leaf-eating adult and by the larvae, which attack the roots. Significant damage to the host is rare. The bean leaf beetle is found throughout the south-eastern states of the USA. Magnification unknown.
