Caption: Computer simulation of an electron-positron collision in the DELPHI detector at CERN, the European centre for particle physics near Geneva. DELPHI is one of 4 giant particle detectors at the LEP electron- positron collider. In the display, the blue outline represents the cylindrical detector. The variously coloured lines are the tracks of particles created in an electron- positron annihilation. The solid lines represent charged particles, which bend in the detector's magnetic field. The broken lines represent neutral particles, which are unaffected by the magnetic field.
