Caption: Peach leaf curl. Leaves of a peach tree (Prunus persica) deformed by an infection by the peach leaf curl fungus (Taphrina deformans). The fungus causes the leaf curling and reddening seen here, and also damages the flowers, shoots and fruits. The tree is weakened as the leaves die and drop off. The disease can be controlled with fungicides.
