Caption: Particle collision. Computer display of the spray of particles produced in an electron-positron collision in the L3 detector at CERN, the European centre for particle physics near Geneva. L3 is one of 4 giant particle detectors at the LEP electron- positron collider. The display shows elements of the L3 detector in white. The blue, red and yellow lines represent the tracks of particles created in the electron-positron annihilation. The Greek letters in white are the names of some of the particles involved.
