Caption: NGC 7000, the North America Nebula, is to the top left. To its right is IC 5070, the Pelican Nebula. Located about 1,500 light years away, this rich region of hydrogen-alpha emission nebulosity and dark nebulae is located in Cygnus, just east of Deneb. The Gulf of Mexico region of the North American Nebula surrounds the dark nebula LDN 935. The dark nebula at the top (north) of the image is Barnard 253. This image was shot with a narrowband 6nm hydrogen-alpha filter.
