Caption: Lunokhod 1 exhibition display. Visitors viewing an exhibition model of the Lunokhod 1 lunar rover. This was the first remote-controlled lunar roving vehicle, placed on the Moon by the USSR in 1970 by the Luna 17 spacecraft. This display is part of the space (Kosmos) pavilion at the Soviet national exhibition centre (All-Union Exhibition of People's Economic Achievements, VDNKh). This is now known as the All-Russia Exhibition Centre, and is located in Moscow, Russia. Photographed in 1971.
