Caption: Altocumulus clouds filling the sky. Altocumulus clouds occur at middle altitudes (2400-6000 metres), consist of water droplets rather than ice, and vary in colour from white to black. They sometimes form great sheets of globular masses that obliterate any blue sky, as has happened here. The clouds can form in a number of ways and are usually associated with fair weather.
