Caption: Cloudy sky. View of a cloudy sky showing fluffy cumulus clouds (bottom) and stratocumulus clouds (top). Cumulus clouds are associated with showers, hail and thunder. They have a cotton- wool like appearance and are typically found at an altitude of 300-1000 metres. Stratocumulus clouds consist of large rolls of clouds which are soft and grey looking. They typically form at altitudes less than 1.6 kilometres. Stratocumulus clouds rarely produce rain.
