Caption: Cirrus and cumulus clouds. Cirrus clouds (upper right) are wispy, high-level clouds occurring between 6000 & 14,000 metres, composed of ice crystals. Cumulus clouds (centre) are low-level clouds occurring below 2000 metres, composed mainly of water droplets. They are often described as looking like lumps of cotton wool. Cumulus clouds may be associated with light showers. Photographed in Kentucky, USA.
