Caption: Cumulus clouds. These clouds form at low altitudes, normally below 2000 metres. They consist of water droplets that have condensed after being pushed up on thermals (rising columns of warm air). Cumulus clouds often appear at cold fronts, where advancing cold air forces warm air upwards.
