Caption: Lunar corona around the moon, seen through cirriform clouds. A corona is the diffraction of light as it passes through water droplets in clouds. The cirriform clouds are possibly thin high-level cirrostratus nebulosis clouds. The size and regularity of the water droplets dictates the size and colour of the corona.
