Caption: Hurricane Charley, coloured doppler radar image, on 13th August 2004. Charley is approaching the US state of Florida. Cuba is directly below Charley. The colours on the radar relate to amount of rainfall, blue and black being the lightest, through green and yellow to orange and red (the heaviest). Data such as this can be used to predict a storm's behaviour. At the time this image was taken Charley was classified as a type 2 hurricane. Image taken by the National Weather Service radar, at Key West, Florida, USA.
