Caption: Hurricane Jeanne (lower centre) with three other storm systems. This image was taken by the GOES 12 satellite at 17:45 GMT on 23rd September 2004. At upper right, in the mid-Atlantic, is Hurricane Karl. The swirl of cloud on the southern coast of the USA west of Florida (centre left) is the remnants of Hurricane Ivan, by now degraded to a tropical depression. The patch of cloud in the mid-Atlantic (lower right) is tropical storm Lucy. Ivan devstated Grenada, Jamaica and Alabama and Florida, USA. Jeanne killed thousands in Haiti and hit the Bahamas and then Florida on the 26th.
