Caption: Tornado damage. Debris from homes destroyed by a force 4 (F4) tornado or twister. A tornado is a violent, rotating column of air characterised by a funnel-shaped cloud. Winds in a F4 tornado travel at between 333 and 418 kilometres per hour, causing devastating damage. Photographed in Franklin, Kansas, USA, after a tornado passed through the area on 4th May, 2003.
