Caption: Meteorological antennas. These antennas receive data from an ozonesonde, a piece of equipment attached to a weather balloon that measures levels of ozone in the atmosphere. The data are transmitted to meteorologists in the sounding station below where they are used to study the depletion of the polar ozone layer. Photographed at the Arctic Research Centre, Sodankyla, Finnish Lapland.
