Caption: Hemisphere with inset axis finders used to show the axis and degree of polarization in all parts of the sky. A camera with fish eye lens is mounted under the hemisphere to record the entire sky. It shows the following: the axis of polarization is on meridians around the sun, the degree of polarization is greatest at right angles to the sun, the degree of polarization is greater near the horizon than it is overhead. Axis finders are a special kind of polarizer.
