Caption: Icebergs from the Roseg glacier in a lake in the Roseg valley in the Swiss Alps. The valley used to be covered in ice from the Roseg and Tschierva glaciers. Warming of the climate has led to these glaciers retreating in the last few decades. A moraine (pile of rocky debris) left by the retreat of the Tschierva glacier has blocked the valley and led to the formation of this lake. The Roseg glacier flows onto the lake, into which it calves icebergs.
