Caption: Collapse of the building housing the televison theatre (not studios) at the rear of Television Centre, Mexico City, during the 19th September 1985 earthquake. Those surviving the earthquake (foreground) were of older stock. The earthquake measured 8.1 on the Richter scale. The epicentre occurred in the Pacific Ocean. Loss of life & damage to property were exceedingly high.
