Caption: Seismology radio mast. This mast is used to transmit seismological data to a base station for analysis. It receives data from vibration- sensitive seismometers buried in the ground. This station is monitoring the seismic activity of the Soufriere Hills volcano in Montserrat, which has been continually erupting since 18 July 1995 and has left two thirds of the island uninhabitable.
