Caption: Santiaguito volcano erupting. Santiaguito is a new volcano in the crater of Santamaria volcano, Guatemala. It formed when a volcanic vent opened in the Santmaria crater. Santiaguito is around 2500 metres tall and the summit of Santiaguito is at an elevation of around 3700 metres. Photographed on February 2nd, 1999.
