Caption: Lava tube cave seen on Mauna Loa volcano, Hawaii. The outer layers of lava cool while beneath the molten material flows as if through a tunnel. Once the lava stops flowing and cools a cave is left. Mauna Loa is one of the five volcanoes found on Hawaii. The others are Kohala, Mauna Kea, Hualalai and Kilauea.
