Caption: Lava falls during Kilauea eruption, 1969. Lava falls filling Alae Crater from the Mauna Ulu eruption on Hawaii. The total height of the lava falls is more than 100 metres and the width is more than 300 metres. Mauna Ulu is in the eastern rift zone of the Kilauea volcano on the island of Hawaii. It is the most active of the volcanoes on Hawaii. Photographed on 5 August 1969.
