Caption: Crystals of pink tourmaline (variety rubellite) growing on a substrate of lepidolite, a type of mica. Tourmaline is a complex silicate of aluminium and boron which occurs in many colours including black, brown, blue, green, red and pink. This specimen measures 4 x 2 cm and was found in Jonas' Mine, Conselheiro Pena, Brazil.
